Concertina book exploring focus of perception in an urban space. At first overheard conversations of passers by are dominant then visual perception catches a glimpse of a man on the other side of the road. He becomes the momentary focus before being drowned out again by conversational snatches. Drawn as part of Masters degree in Illustration and book Arts.
Drawn at a single location over a period of 12 hours,documenting daily life in Market Street, Cambridge.It is drawn on a 10 metre scroll of Chinese paper for which I had to construct a special drawing board to enable me to roll the paper on as I drew.
